Cave dog beds are generally inexpensive beds made
for extra-small dogs and cats. They are often similar to a nesting
bed but have an extra tent of fabric that goes over the top of the
bed to create a caved cover or roof. Cave dog beds are usually made
entirely of fabric with a foam or and stiff poly-fill bed. Some cave
dog beds are square mats with an extra tent of soft fabric. This
gives your dog or cat the secure feeling of being inside a small
cave or den. Your pet can snuggle deep inside the tent or rest
comfortably in the opening. These are excellent beds for cold or
drafty areas but because they a generally made of fabric and
poly-fill, should not be used out of doors. The fabric tent of a
cave dog beds is usually not stiff enough for a large dog beds and
limits the sizes available. If you decide to purchase a cave dog bed
for your dog be sure to place it in a safe area where your dog
cannot be stepped on or crushed. The privacy provided by the cave
bed can be a hazard, as you may not be able to see if your dog is
inside the tent, and your dog will have limited visibility as well. |
